5 out of 5 stars One of our   Greatest musicians!
Reviewer: Isrea Butler
Fine album, a worthy addition to any collection. This one is a must have!

4 out of 5 stars Bluesy chops
Reviewer: Studio Ezell
Johnny O'Neal has honed his chops from the same templates of the great Jazz Pianist of our century. With the technical dexterity of Oscar Peterson, to the lyrical, bluesy fun loving touch of the late Gene Harris. You will be overjoyed by this, or any other of Johnnys CD's. Thank You Johnny, for keeping the true power of Jazz alive. Sincerely, Ezell

4 out of 5 stars A cool, swinging bit of jazz!!
Reviewer: FLossie Binder
Having seen all three artists, and having great respect for each, I chose this CD knowing it would be a good one. I certainly wasn't disappointed!!! Three masters combining their talents to create jazz as good as it gets!

5 out of 5 stars Best CD I've bought in a LONG time...
Reviewer: Jay
I also heard Johnny in person (which I highly recommend to anyone). Great CD. I would buy the CD again just to hear Track 6 - Mornin'! Outstanding interaction between all the musicians.

4 out of 5 stars Johnny at his best!
Reviewer: Helen Pierce
Having heard Johnny play in person, I feel this CD captures the drive, the passion and the sheer enjoyment of his interpretations.

5 out of 5 stars The piano has not been played this freely since Art Tatum!
Reviewer: H. Daniel Mujahid
I value the degrees of freedom these artists bring to the spirit of the songs selected. Superb execution of syncopation, be-bop, in-and-out swing, and very tasty demonstration of the evolution of in-rhythm improvisation, coupled with off-beat harmonic accompaniment...three instruments sounding like one yet as big as 12, all at the same time!! I'm not sure it's even safe to imagine a CD better than this one for 2002!!
